Food Hotel Asia 2008, Singapore
The Food Hotel Asia 2008 held in Singapore was an amazing trade show that brought togethor all the major buyers of the Asia region (over 36 countries with Thailand, China, Singapore and Malaysia representing the largest proportion) including major supermarkets like NTUC, Cold Storage and Giants, the airline industry like Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific amongst a plethora of keen local and international distributors and agents. With over 39,546 attendees spread over 4 days, it was sure to be a busy one for Olive Oil Australia.........
The Olive Oil Australia stand situated in the Australia pavilion at stand number 1L1-09 attracted more people than anticipated and it was not long before we had to call in re-inforcement staff to assist with the high volume of enquiries for our uniquely Australian product range. Austrade were also busy bringing qualified buyers to our stand eager to discuss potential distribution agreements for our Great Southern gold range for the South east Asian markets. This encompassed with stand give aways and prizes being awarded daily saw a rush of people come to visit us and try our fresh and aromatic 100% Australian extra virgin olive oil range.
The trade show in general was the best Olive Oil Australia has attended along with a recent trade show conducted in Shanghai China and is sure to have us back for the next one in Hong Kong.
